Grassroots International is happy to report another year of strong growth in programs and revenue. For the first time, Grassroots attracted more than a million dollars in unrestricted grants and donations. Because of the increased revenue from all sources, Grassroots was able to surpass an even more important million-dollar threshold: in fiscal 2005, Grassroots directed $1,066,249 in cash grants to our partners and other organizations working for justice—the most ever in more than 22 years of existence. As our work expanded in 2005, we continued to maintain low operating overhead, and devoted 80% of our spending to programs and education. Grassroots operates without U.S. government funding, and we remain committed to speaking out boldly for global justice. As always, your active support makes all of this possible.
