Shannon Duncan Bodwell

Shannon Duncan Bodwell is the Individual Giving and e-Advocacy Coordinator at Grassroots International. Shannon brings over 13 years working in the nonprofit sector at organizations like the Conservation Law Foundation, Ibis Reproductive Health, Northeast Action and the Women's Bar Foundation. She holds a B.A. in Writing, Literature, and Publishing from Emerson College and an International Baccalaureate degree from the United World College – USA.

At Grassroots International, Shannon combines her love for writing with her passion for justice and technical expertise by coordinating the direct mail, social networking and online advocacy programs and oversees the organization's interns and volunteers. “Working with Grassroots’ e-activists and social networks are great. It’s rewarding to see the results of focused action to create change whether it’s knowing we’ve shut down a decision maker’s inbox or seeing our actions tweeted around the world.” When not tweeting, Shannon is an avid gardener, cook and composter.
