Via Campesina Global Campaign for Agrarian Reform

Since 2007, the Via Campesina's Global Campaign for Agrarian Reform has provided direct support to peasant and indigenous groups working for agrarian reform in Latin America, Africa and Asia by providing strategy development support for national organizations; conducting learning exchange programs that reinforce the struggle of landless peasants and rural workers; and monitoring and reporting on human rights violations against peasants who are criminalized for fighting for land reform.

Grassroots International provides support to implement agrarian reform in Central America. The campaign’s goals are to advocate for a peasant-led agrarian reform which is not limited to land distribution and also includes the improvement of living conditions in rural areas, marketing of products, technical assistance and use of sustainable agriculture practices.
