Directions to the Grassroots International office in Jamaica Plain, MA

We are in “The Brewery,” a 4-story brick building, set back from the street by a parking lot. If there are spaces, you are welcome to park anywhere in the lot. Walk up to the building marked “Building P,” ring our buzzer (#8) at the door, and come up to the 4 th floor.

Taking the T:

From the Stony Brook T station on the Orange Line.

Take the Orange Line to the Stony Brook T stop.

Exit the station onto Boylston Street and immediately turn left.

Walk through the intersection with the traffic light ( Amory Street).

Walk one block farther (to Bismarck Street) and you will see our building on your right.

179 Boylston St., “The Brewery,” is a 4-story brick building on your right, set back from the street by a parking lot. Walk into the parking lot through the gate to the building marked “Building P.” Ring our buzzer (#8) at the door, and come up to the 4th floor.

 

Driving:

From Brookline or Boston via the Jamaicaway:

Take the Jamaicaway southbound to the traffic signal at Bynner Street and turn left.

Take Bynner several blocks (cross South Huntington Ave) until it ends at Day Street.

Turn right onto Day. Stay straight across through the traffic circle onto Centre Street – Whole Foods should be on your right.

Take the first left turn onto Paul Gore Street. Follow Paul Gore until it ends at Lamartine Street.

Turn right and follow Lamartine to the first traffic light, which is Boylston Street, and turn left.

Follow Boylston to the next light, and then turn left onto Amory Street.

Take your first right after that onto School Street. Pass the school on your right, and then turn right onto Egleston Street.

At the end of Egleston, turn right onto Boylston Street.

From the West on Route 9

Take Rte 9 East toward Brookline & Boston Enter Brookline Village; pass Firehouse on left

Enter Jamaicaway at ramp - indicates Dedham/Rte 1 South/Jamaicaway.

Take the Jamaicaway to the traffic signal at Bynner Street and turn left.

Take Bynner several blocks (cross South Huntington Ave) until it ends at Day Street.

From West or North of Boston on the Freeway:

From the West take the Mass. Pike East to I-93 southbound.

Take Exit 18, Mass Ave /Roxbury/Andrew Sq./ South Bay Center.

At the bottom of the off ramp, turn right onto Mass Ave Connector.

The Mass Ave Connector becomes Melnea Cass Blvd. Continue on Melnea Cass until it ends.

Turn left onto Tremont Street/MA-28 South. Continue to follow MA-28 South which is now called Columbus Ave.

After about 2 miles, turn right onto Washington Street (a gas station will be on left).

Go through another traffic signal, and make a right onto Boylston Street.

From Downtown Boston and the South End:

Take Columbus Avenue southbound through the South End.

Pass Ruggles T Station and continue past Roxbury Community College (RCC) to Egleston Square.

Stay in the right lane and where there's a gas station on your right, make a shallow right turn at the traffic signal onto Washington Street.

Go through another traffic signal, and make a right onto Boylston St.

From the South Shore and Points South on I-93:

Take I-93 North to Rte. 203 (Exit 12).

Follow Rte. 203 west approximately 3 1/2 miles just past Forest Hills Cemetery to the rotary where there is an entrance to Franklin Park.

Exit the rotary at the service road just to the right of the overpass (do not enter Franklin Park) and follow the sign that says " Washington Street."

At the first traffic signal turn right onto Washington Street. Follow Washington for just over one mile (through four traffic signals).

Take your first left after the fourth signal onto Boylston Street. (Note: At this intersection you may not see the street name "Boylston" on the left; but it is called "Chilcott" on the right. Be sure to turn left here.)
